The disconnect one is a big one for me. I think I learned through business travel the year before last and personal travel last year is that there really was nothing good on cable TV. Everytime I was in a hotel room, it seemed like I was watching something I'd seen before. It just added to my resolve not to buy into the whole cable thing. And not watching as much TV means that I find myself not wanting a lot of stuff that I don't need (food and gizmos that would otherwise be tempting.)

Love it, Laurie. Good luck to you. I love starting fresh every year with big hopes. Whether we keep the resolutions or not, I love that the intent is so pure and from the heart when we make them.

Love you :)

Sounds like you're going to have a pretty big 2010 ahead of you! I used to have issues with eye contact myself. But once you start doing it more, I think you'll realize how much more interesting even the simplest conversation can be - you start to notice facial expressions, smiles, etc. And then it becomes almost addicting!

Paula, you should watch this.

I never watch TV in a hotel room anymore. Of course when I'm rooming with someone it is a different story, but if they give me control the TV goes off.

Meli, love you too! Good luck on your goals.

Derick, I'm glad to hear it. I had a feeling that if I practiced it would get easier. It is just getting into the habit of doing it.
